STUDENT ARTWORK

George Fischer Middle School

Mrs. Swarm’s 6th grade art students used the creatures of the Great Swamp as inspiration for some mixed-media art work.

These were created by using a foam printing square that the kids carved into. Next, they colored water soluble marker onto the square, then they wet a piece of watercolor paper and pressed the foam square onto the wet paper. Students made at least three prints each and chose their favorite print for the show.

Kent Primary School

Art Teacher Mrs. Bell’s 4th grade students at Kent Primary School used a variety of animals from the Great Swamp as inspiration for their texture drawings.
